WHY POWERBALLERS SOFTBALL?
Powerballers Softball is the newest division of the Powerballers Organization, joining Powerballers Baseball and the Powerballers Athletic Center.
Our program will begin with one inaugural 10U team. We’re building carefully and purposefully to establish the right coaching standards, player-development approach and team culture from day one.

This isn’t simply about putting another team on the field. It’s about building a softball program designed to develop athletes the right way.

GREAT PROGRAMS START WITH
GREAT LEADERS
At the Powerballers Organization, we take great pride in the coaches and mentors entrusted to lead our young athletes.

Coaching and leadership matter. Finding the right people to represent our values, earn the trust of families and help young athletes grow cannot be rushed.

That’s why we’re incredibly excited to have Program Advisor Jon Ortwein and Inaugural 10U Head Coach Kaira Zamadics leading Powerballers Softball.

Together, they’re creating an environment where players are supported, challenged and encouraged to become confident athletes, dependable teammates and strong young people.
MEET OUR LEADERSHIP
JON ORTWEIN
Program Advisor
Program Advisor Jon will lead the startup and long-term development of Powerballers Softball. He will establish the program’s direction, support its coaches, serve as the primary contact for families and help guide the division as additional teams and opportunities are added.

KAIRA ZAMADICS
Inaugural 10U Head Coach
Coach Kaira is a Northampton Area High School standout and championship-tested NCAA Division II softball player from Shippensburg University.
At Northampton, Kaira recorded 169 strikeouts across 136â…” innings, reached a single-game high of 14 strikeouts and helped Northampton capture the District 11 Class 6A Championship.
At Shippensburg, she became a two-time PSAC Champion and four-time NCAA Tournament participant, earning the victory in the 2023 PSAC Championship game while allowing zero earned runs.
Kaira also served as the PAC Summer Camp Director in 2026 and works with young athletes as a PAC lesson coach.

HOW WE DEVELOP PLAYERS
Like Powerballers Baseball, Powerballers Softball will be built on integrity, progression and strong player development. Our athletes will receive high expectations delivered with patience, encouragement and grace. Players will get the instruction, time and coachable repetitions needed to build a strong foundation in:
HITTING
FIELDING
BASE RUNNING
GAME AWARENESS
TEAMWORK
PITCHING
ACCOUNTABILITY
Coach Kaira brings the fundamentals, versatility, discipline and competitive mindset that shaped her successful high-school and collegiate career into the way she teaches young athletes.

She has lived the journey—from a standout player in the Lehigh Valley to a championship-winning NCAA Division II athlete. Now she’s ready to help the next generation begin writing stories of their own.
THE POWERBALLERS APPROACH
OUR PROMISE TO FAMILIES
Powerballers Softball will be a place where:
Fundamentals are taught correctly.
Players build their game on a strong foundation.
Development comes before rankings.
Long-term growth matters more than short-term recognition.
Confidence is built through preparation.
Players learn to trust the work they put in.

Mistakes become opportunities to learn.
Growth happens when athletes are willing to be challenged.
Players are coached with patience and purpose.
High expectations and encouragement go hand in hand.
Every coachable repetition moves an athlete forward.
This is more than the launch of a new team. It’s the beginning of a player-development culture designed to help young athletes grow their skills, confidence and love for softball.
We develop teammates and young people—not just softball players.
Teamwork, accountability and character matter.
